Risk-Fuse Calculator
Know your share size, your dollars at risk, and when to stop for the day, before you place the trade.

Overview
A free one-page calculator for US stock and ETF trades. You type your account size, the most you'll risk per trade, your entry, your stop, a position cap and a daily loss limit. It does the rest.
What's inside
- Final shares: the smaller of what your risk limit allows and what your position cap allows
- $ at risk: what you lose if the stop hits
- Daily fuse in dollars, and how many full-stop losses your limit allows today
- A check-in table that reads OK, then CLOSE at 75% of your fuse, then FUSE HIT
- .xlsx for Excel or Google Sheets (2 tabs: Start Here, Risk & Fuse), formulas unlocked
- 1-page PDF quick guide with a worked example
Look inside
Screenshots of the actual files. Example data is fictional. Select an image to open it full size.
Example (fictional): $10,000 account, buy at $50, stop at $48, 1% risk. Risk allows 50 shares, the 10% cap allows 20, so you buy 20 with about $40 at risk. A $200 (2%) fuse covers five full-stop losses.
Who it's not for
Anyone looking for stock picks, signals or alerts. There are none here.
FAQ
Is it really free?
Yes. It's pay what you want from $0, with a suggested $3 if you'd like to support updates.
Does it work in Google Sheets?
Yes. Import the .xlsx into Google Sheets with File > Import, or open it in Excel.
Are the default limits a recommendation?
No. The defaults (1% risk, 10% cap, 2% fuse) are starting points. Pick limits that fit your own money and plan.
