Trading Journal & Risk ToolkitEquities Edition
Size every trade, cap your worst day, and keep records your tax pro can actually use.

Overview
Most trading tools help you find something to buy. This one helps with what comes after: how much to buy, when to stop for the day, and how to keep records that make sense at tax time. You set your own limits once, while you're calm. The sheets do the math and turn a cell red when a rule breaks. It doesn't pick stocks, send alerts or promise returns.
What's inside
- Position Size Calculator: shares that fit inside both your risk limit and your position cap, and which limit decided it
- Daily Loss Fuse: orange at 75% of your limit, red at FUSE HIT
- Tax-Aware Trade Journal: one row per lot, cost basis, proceeds, short- vs long-term, a possible wash-sale flag and a Notes for CPA column
- Day-Trade Counter: a rolling 5-business-day count with a switch for brokers still on the old PDT count, plus notes on the 2026 intraday-margin rule, the 90-day freeze and a 5th-business-day cover-by helper
- 30-Session Scorecard: five yes/no habit checks per session; it grades discipline, not profit
- Excel edition, Google Sheets edition and a Google Sheets copy link
- 7-page plain-English PDF guide with worked examples

Example (fictional): $10,000 account, $50 entry, $48 stop, 1% risk, 10% cap → 20 shares, about $40 at risk.
Who it's not for
Anyone looking for stock picks, signals or a "system" (there are none here); crypto, futures or options traders; anyone who wants a replacement for a tax pro, a broker's 1099-B or the broker's own margin notices.
FAQ
Does it work in Google Sheets?
Yes. You get a Google Sheets copy link (File > Make a copy) and a Google Sheets edition of the .xlsx that imports with File > Import. It uses standard functions only.
Which Excel version do I need?
Excel 2019 or later, or Microsoft 365. Google Sheets and LibreOffice also work.
Is the day-trade counter still useful after the PDT change?
Yes. Brokers can phase in the new intraday margin standards until Oct 20, 2027, so the counter has a switch for the old rule, plus notes and a cover-by helper for the new one.
Does it pick stocks or give signals?
No. It's a set of guardrails and records for decisions you're already making. Education only.
Can I get a refund?
30-day money-back guarantee. If the files don't work for you, email us within 30 days of purchase for a full refund.
